Let us as members of Christ's New Testament church be reminded of something exceedingly important: God's Word will accomplish what He designed for it to do. Question: Do we really believe it? Can we honestly say, "I believe God. I believe His Word will accomplish His will." You may be thinking. :Of course, I believe that!"

Remember, however, claims are one thing, but faith in action (obedience) is entirely different. Remember Jesus' words recorded in Luke 6:46, "And why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" And what about John 14:15? "If you love me, keep my commandments." If we truly believe in the power of God's Word, we should be compelled to act upon it - bottom line.

So, just how powerful is God's Word? Well, more powerful than perhaps our limited, finite thinking can comprehend. The Word of God is so efficient that it literally gives spiritual life (James 1:18) and has the ability to peer unto our sould (Hebrews 4:12). Peter said it like this, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever" (1 Peter 1:23)

Ad finally, God's Word is so perfectly powerful that it will judge us in the last day. "He that rejecteth me, and recieveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word that I have spoken, the same will judge him in the last day" (John 12:48). So, let us be prepared for that Day so that we might be with the Lord throughout all eternity.
