JESUS IS KNOCKING

In Revelation chapter 3, John recorded these words of the Lord Jesus: "Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (v. 20). Dear friends and brethren, Jesus is always knocking on the door of our hearts. He earnestly desires that all open and let Him in. Remember, when Jesus knocks on the door of our hearts, the door knob is on our side of the door; He does not force Himself into our lives, but allows us to choose whether or not we'll obey His gospel and allow Him into our lives.

Question: Why does God's plan for salvation involve Jesus seeking us? Why does God want us to hear the voice (through the Scriptures) of His Son? It's quite simple: our heavenly Father longs to know us and have fellowship with us. Likewise, Jesus seeks a relationship with us, and not simply a Master/slave scenario, even ghough He is Lord and Master. Jesus, the very One who died for our sins, has made a way for us to commune and associate with Him. What a blessing, but so many in the church take this incredible truth for granted.

Remember, as Jesus gently knocks, He cares for us; He's deeply concerned for both our physical and spiritual well-being. However, even though Christ cares about every aspect of our being, His primary concern is our eternal soul. Remember, He has knocked, and we have obeyed, in order that our lives may be transformed. Be that person.
